Misty Morning Newtown 2

Misty Morning Newtown 2, originally uploaded by smallfox2.

Road signs and lights on a misty morning. Looks a little mysterious, I think. Took this on my way to work and without a tripod had difficulty getting the long exposures without camera shake.

Misty Morning in Newtown 1

Misty Morning in Newtown 1, originally uploaded by smallfox2.

On my way to work…
I saw from the back door that it was misty so I took my camera on the way to work. Hard without a tripod to get good photos in this light – I used the power poles to stabilise my hands and camera for the longer exposures.

Moon and Water Tower

Moon and Water Tower, originally uploaded by smallfox2.

Taken in Coolbellup, Western Australia. It was a kind of fortuitous moment when the moon was, for once, in an interesting place in the sky in relation to objects, like this water tower, on the ground.

In Fremantle, W.A.. Wartime Prime Minister of Australia. In this statue, he looks like he’s trying to swat a fly 🙂

Spider T-shirt

spiders t-shirts black

Here is one of my photos as a t-shirt.

I was walking down Wilson St, headed back towards Newtown from the city. Outside one of the terraced houses, a woman stood smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone. As I approached to pass, she suddenly looked at me with horror, making me wonder what was happening – maybe someone with an axe coming up behind me. I’d forgotten that I was wearing this t-shirt – she had thought it was real! She then explained this to her friend on the phone.

Brilliant! I got the reaction I was after 🙂

So, it’s available as a t-shirt or hoodie, kidswear, or sticker.

Fremantle Fishers

Just a quick post – a couple of photos from the Fremantle Fishing Docks of the beautiful fishing boats that were resting there. My wife and I were having fish and chips at Ciccerellos and this was part of the view outside.

They are such a wonderful aquatic colour and I particularly love the contrast with the anchor. The reflections of the water on the boats also delights me. The scene was soft and serene.
