Strange effects

image

My phone, with the use of an app called Camera Streak, enables this self-portrait taken with three quick-repeat exposures. Think I look quite good, all things considered.

Second photo of a Chinese busker hoola-hooping at the entrance to Chinatown in Sydney. He informed me that he was there every Friday.

Spam

I get spam comments from time to time, even more lately, which I delete.

If anyone has made a comment that I thought was spam but wasn’t, let me know. I check them first before deleting but I may have missed/not realised that an actual person with something relevent to say (please combine the two) actually wrote it.

Since 933 comments were not actually related to anything on this blog, they were fried!

Aboriginal Busker

Aboriginal Busker, originally uploaded by smallfox2.

He kindly posed for this shot. He and the didgeridoo player were fantastic. Circular Quay, Sydney.

I bought their CD and loved it and now can’t find it. When I do I’ll put their name up here, too.

New Gateways Features

These 12 wonderful images have just been featured in the RedBubble group Gateways by host yours truly.

They are a mixed group this time, not all photos but then the Gateways group is not specifically photography.

In choosing which works to feature, first and foremost I need to feel that they fit the theme of the group, which is shamanistic. So I need to feel that as I gaze upon them that they offer me a portal into the other worlds. It is much more a felt than an intellectual thing, since this is something for which the intellect alone is not capable of doing.

Secondly, as works of art, they must be of a quality that aids the first criterion. It is, of course, rather subjective, but I make no apologies because I have nothing else to go on – quality is not so quantifiable.

Not a few works submitted to the group do not fit the theme but I stopped moderating submissions owing to the time factor.

Take a look at the group page and see the individual works by clicking this bit here.
