This is a wonderful place to come. They have a wonderful bookshop downstairs, the second-hand section seen here, and the ambiance of the cafe and lights.

Shakespeare retires
Shakespeare, an icon of Newtown, is retiring after Monday from the King St bookshop Lege et Lacrima.
At fourteen years, his hard work has earned him a well deserved rest.
Shakespeare came with the shop when its current “owner” took over. His human minions have pledged to take good care of him.
His presence will be missed.
